In other cultures, some far more advanced than ours, suicide is an acceptable act.
However... just wait 30 days after deciding anything,
because life changes so much that you may no longer want what you did before.

Suicide ends not only the bad things in life, but ends ALL things good and bad. Not worth doing after all the time getting to where you are.
They do have the right to try. No one can stop them if they really want to do it and do it correctly the first time even though I dont believe in it.
If the attempt fails, you are then either classified as mentally unstable and dont have the right to make your own decisions for your best intrest or they take it as a plea for help and do the same.
My suggestion is if your seeking a way out, dont commit suicide, but take a little while longer on this earth and talk to someone. Really reason things out or do something different that you normally dont do to break the monotony. It may be just the thing that you need to get you back on track.
Nothing except family is worth dying for. Take stock in what you do have and try to strive towards what it is that will make you happier in life.
Most of all, make yourself happy. Dont listen to what others say and do whats best for you without infringing on the rights of others and for your sake, talk to someone or seek counseling.

Most people who commit suicide are suffering from a mental illness. So, in all actuality, they aren't healthy enough to make that decision.

Of course, well, from the evolutionary standpoint.
Of course not, from the compassionate side.
Oh, heck, some people just suffer too mcuh and can't help it. Whether they have a terminal illness or are terminally too depressed to go on, they are not biologically successful.
Let them go.
Knew someone who did.
This is how any of us who knew this person ended up feeling. Better off not suffering, because nothing and we meant nothing had worked.

The taking of a human life is unbearable and disgusting to me. After two tours in "Nam people like you have no idea what it's like to kill or be killed, to see killing everyday, to live with it, knowing you may be next. You think it's cool to talk about it, to think it's so cool.
You the third one on here that I'd like to take back in time to a jungle ambush and see what happens on a night patrol when you can't even see the good guys but are afraid of not firing for fear the guy you see is going to get you. Don't you dare talk about taking a human life, you haven't the right.

No b/c most of them wouldn't do it if they were able to think straight. Most people who've attempted suicide and do get treatment show remorse for having tried to kill themselves.

No, not because they are depressed or in a bad circumstance. If they are terminally ill and in pain, yes, with physician assistance.

Yes. If you want to end your life why should anyone else have the right to prevent you from doing so.

No. They are mentally ill, and clinically depressed. Simplistically speaking, their brain is sick and they need medication/hospitalization immediately.
