Saints don't answer prayers. Only God does, and all prayers should ultimately go to God. And actually, technically, we shouldn't "ask" God for anything either. We really should be praying that whatever God's will is, that he gives us the strength and wisdom to do with our lives what he offers. Now, as a Catholic, I ask saints to watch over me, and to pray for me, just as I ask my friends here on earth to do. My father died many years ago, and I "talk" to him all the time. It gives me peace to know he is close to God (hopefully) and can go to God with my worries. If you don't have a particular saint you feel you can relate to and "talk" to, the how about Mary? She is a great example of someone who followed God's will despite knowing what saying "yes" was really going to be about. Good Luck.

The Church canonized "Saints" who're seen among the residing in heaven, and we don't evaluate saints or the go with to be among the ineffective (dammed). Catholics ask the "Saints" via intercession prayer to God, so weren't praying to them we are asking them to communicate with God. this could contain the Blessed Virgin Mary interceding on our behalf to God. And Catholics do no longer worship the Saints or any statues. The artwork and statues are a monument to God and a memorial to the Saints. as an occasion the Cathedral in the city I stay in has numerous statues of Saints, like St. Paul, St. Peter, Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, St. John the Baptist etc. there is likewise artwork of artwork of angels painted in many distinctive places during the Cathedral such because of the fact the 4 Archangels St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael and St. Uriel. Now many Fundamentalist will call those photos pagan gods, yet how on the earth are you able to call the Crucifix with Christ Jesus, or the Tabernacle that holds the physique of Christ as a graven image? definitely Pope Benedict XVI had already addressed the subject approximately those sick priests and EWTN is a stable source of education relating to the Church. the element is that if a priest confessed there sin to a distinctive Priest or Bishop there is not any thank you to be attentive to what share definitely confessed. Bishops and priests are under a sacramental seal of confession which if the violate it they are going to be excommunicated from the Church. yet another fact to evaluate that the Orthodox Christians or perhaps some Protestant Christians additionally vererate photos of Saints, Crucifixes and etc.

1) If God says "no," there is no use asking anyone else.
2) A Saint can help you, but only if God allows it. The Saint's primary role is to ask God that he can help you. If God agrees, then the Saint helps you.
3) Do you have a patron Saint, such as one you chose when you were confirmed? He is a good person to help you pray.
4) How hard is the question? St. Jude helps with seemingly unsolvable problems.
Good luck!

Jesus is our intercessor. Why would you pray to a dead human being that can't hear you. That is like trying to pray to a wooden idol. Wait up the Lord. He may be making sure that you really want it.

I don't know about saints but anyway that is a form of idolatry and I guess you can try the Blessed Mother(virgin Mary). I hear that works.
