Me and this girl i like were suppose to go out to the movies sat tonight. i asked her out friday and she said she would go.

the movie was at 8:00 about 3:00 i texted her to see if she still wanted to go. she texted back at 5:00 and she told me her mom wanted to go christmas shopping with her.

girls, did i get stood up? is his a excuse you would use if you didnt want to go?


What should i do/say on monday?

I don`t think you were stood up. Her mom could have really wanted her to go shopping with her. If I didn`t want to go somewhere with someone, I would politely turn them down, I wouldn`t make an excuse. Ask her how shopping was on Monday.

Here is how I look at it. She should have kept the date if going shopping with mom was her choice. She had agreed to go with you first. However, if mom insisted that she go with her shopping, then she should have contacted you to let you know the situation.

Go ahead and give her a second chance, ya never know the real story. But if she pulls that or similar again, I'd move on.

On Monday u should ask her if she really went with her mom Christmas shopping. Tell her it's ok and i want to know the truth.But before u ask tell her that it's not that i don't trust u or somethin' because i do and i want to know if u really like me . Then ask!!!

its the holidays....she went shopping! if it were time for the movie and you showed up to get her and she wasnt there then that is being stood up. Dont be so self centered
