Many people have used this quote, but who originally said this? Thanks

Thanks everyone for responding. After some research online, I've discovered, that a french priest born in 1881, by the name of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, is the originator of this quote. More details about him here:

Also, it looks like a word or two has been changed by different authors over the years. I'm sure many have felt this way from the beginning of time, despite not receiving public recognition for the quote.

Not sure, but I really like this quote.
