wow this may take a while to answer. Yes I am a christian and I have been since I was 19 so about 9 years now. I believe that there is a God that created everything and that Jesus Christ His son was sent to die on the cross the take the punishment for our sins so that we would not have to, which is Hell and being eternally separated from God. I believe that the only way that you can be set free from your sin and spend eternity in Heaven is to believe in Jesus Christ alone and truly repent of your sins.
Let me put it this way: Have you ever sinned? Your anwer may be something like yes but so does everybody. You are right everyone has sinned but you personally. Do you think that you are a good person? Okay lets examine that by comparing ourselves to God's law (the Ten Commandments). Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything (even something small like a pen)? Have you ever taken the name of God in vain (like using it in a curse word)? Jesus said, "you have heard of old that you shall not commit adultry but I say that if you look with lust you have already committed adultry with them in your heart already" So have you ever looked with lust? Just based on these few commandments we can see that we have not stood up to God's standards. So based on that would God find us innosent or guilty on judgment day? If you say innocent even though you know you have sinned because you think that God has to be fair then concider this. If you murder someone or brake the law such as robbery and you get caught and you stand before the judge and you tell him but this is the only time I have done this and I have been a good person and I will not do it anymore will he let you off or if he is a good judge will he require justice. God is just and He sees all of our sin the same and because we have sinned agianst Him our punishment is Hell. BUT this is the good part because He loves us and does not wish that anyone should go to hell He sent his only son to die to take your punishment so that you would not have to. All you have to do is recieve this wonderful gift He has given you by trusting and believing in Him and repenting (sorrowfully turning away from your sins). You may say well even Christians still sin so how does that work. When you recieve Christ as your saviour for your sins you then will no longer dwell in sin. Yes you may (fall) into it but you will not parade around in it. That is the True sign of a Christian, not perfect but striving toward that. Not wanting to affend God. The Bible itself has been the foundation of my entire life. To pinpoint just one verse is very difficult. Outside of John 3:16 which says , For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whoever believes on Him shall be saved" that verse is what most children learn and has had a big impact on a lot of lives. I would say that for me it is Romans 1:16 " For I am not ashammed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth:" That verse has impacted my life to not be ashammed to share what the Bible says and what I believe because it is the only way for people to be saved from hell and eternal death. I believe that by telling someone what I have just told you that I am warning them of a cliff that they do not see and are about to walk off of. Most Christians are not trying to offend people they are just trying to save people from an eternity of suffering without God. If you have anymore questions just email me I will be happy to try to answer them for you. I hope that this helps and gets you closer to what you are searching for. God bless

My personal beliefs are based on Bible laws and principals.
the following are standards for true Christians:
Base their teachings on the Bible (2Timothy 3:16, 17; 1Thessalonians 2:13)
Worship only Jehovah and make his name known (Matthew 4:10; John 17:6)
Show genuine, unselfish love for one another. (John 13:35)
Accept Jesus Christ as God’s means of salvation(Acts 4:12)
Are no part of the world.(John 18:36)
preach that God’s Kingdom is mankind’s only hope(Matthew 24:14; Matthew 28:19-20)
I have believe these things since 1968
There are many scriptures that have impacted my life greatly but the one that convinced me to take a firm stand for the truth is Matthew 12:30 Â "He that is not on my side is against me, and he that does not gather with me scatters."

That Jesus is the Living Son of God, that he lived just as the Gospels claim, that he was beaten, mocked, bleed, and then put to death for my crimes against a Holy God. That he rose again on the third day. And that where he is I also will be.
Standards, The life and teachings of Christ. Love God, love your neighbor as yourself, love your enemies. Bless those who cruse you. Threat others in the manner in which you want to be treated yourself. To have compassion (concerned passion, Concerned love) for others. To model my life as modeled by Christ in deed and action.
Believed real belief almost 20 years.
No one verse but the Gospel of John because of how John shows Jesus. The Book of Romans because it showed me that all have been taught was not done right. The book of James because of it being so up front in dealing with a true and faithful believer. Many other things stand out but to break it down to just a few verses I would have to go to James 1:22-25. To keep me humble in deed and thoughtful in action.
To remember that it is not the words that come out of my mouth that effect others the most but the actions the speak of my worth.

I believe Jesus Christ is both God and man. That what he truly desires when he returns here is to just come and be one of us and be our friend.
A true Christian has suffered, in some way, like Christ did. A true Christian has repented of his sin. A true Christian knows Jesus Christ as his personal friend.
I have believed for 15 years.
The Revelation, Chapter 11 has made the most difference in my life because I see myself written about in the Bible there.

I believe that god is the one and only god and no one can come before him. A true christian is one whose life is really devoted to god who eat, breath, and sleep the world of god. They only want to show others the era of there ways the right way. I've have believed this ever since I was little (around 6 or 7)
Matthew 24 5-8 . Because it has shown me that the time is drawing near and I need to make a change in my life .

I I believe Jesus Christ is the One True God. I believe that he paid the penalty of death for my sin, which makes me a believer, ie. Christian. The standards of a true Christian is be like Christ...but we all fail. Thank God he is more faithful than we are. I've been a believer for 22 years.
" I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" -John:11:25.

Jesus died and was resurected on the third day
as for standards, there are so many different people in the world and 1/3 of the world population claims to be Christian, as a pastor and teacher I have my own ideas, however i would never impose them on others.
Since I was able to read and understand what was going on in the church.
Matthew 6:25-34, we as humans tend to worry over things so much, these scriptures tell us we have nothing to worry about.
