do you get scared when the dentist says "im afraid were going to have to drill" or "you need a major root canal and other dental work"?

do you get the shivers when they put the bib and retractors on you?

They have never told me I need to be drilled or have major work so I dont know =D

But if they did;; since I never had a cavity...I would be scared. I would probably be all worked up and scared, nervous, shaking.

I would probably wish I had someone to hug haha [[when im nervous all i wanna do is hug someone lol]]

But yesssss I'd be really scared and curious cuz notihng like that has happened to me yet.....

I had (well a little still) a fear of the dentist. One visit where they used the rubber dam I though I was going to suffocate that I actually slapped the dentist to stop him. I have since found the best dentist and the last root canal I had done (I've had 3, 2 in one night) I didn't have to have the gas and could even have fallen asleep.

No, there are other sounds that scare me, the drill at the dentist doesnt because I cant feel a thing. A lot of people it does though.

ihave had root canal, infection cut out of the lower jaw bone, once u have the injection whutch dose,nt hurt .the rest is just a bit of pulling whitch is understandable because the teeth have been rooted for so long, its the after pain that hurts more than the treatment.

I wouldn't say scared, just a little nervous. It the same for me in any medical situation. I usually feel as if I am going to freak out but as soon as I get in there I am fine.

The best thing to do it not look, relax and encourage yourself.

Well, i'd get scared if he said something like 'whoops!', or 'what the hell is that?'. But generally, i think anyone gets at least a little unconfortable when at the dentist.
