I am interested in making beer at home. I prefer dark (guiness, black and tan) beers. Does anyone know of a good beginners kit I can purchase for this?

It is a lot of work and a precise skill but can be mastered relatively easily. I reccomend buying a cheap beer kit like the one, please forgive me for saying this, that walmart sells. If you like it and think that you can enjoy it for the long term than take the previous posters advice and visit your local brewing supply store. If you do not have a local store than search the internet for a good store.

You will pay more for all of the things you need but they will also be a great source of information. When you get used to the process and no longer need their help, then you can search the internet and buy premium brewers yeast, sugars, and hops at better prices. If you enjoy quality beer as well as the science behind creating it, you will find home brewing to be a very rewarding hobby. GOOD LUCK. p.s. Guiness Rules!!
