my hp officejet will print and fax but i tell it to scan and it said no computer connected but it still prints so i know that it is connected

I have the same printer but mine works fine. Make sure your drivers were installed correctly, by re-inserting the CD and selecting uninstall. Then eject the CD drive and close it again and reinstall them. If it still doesn't work check the HP website for up to date drivers and then install them. If that fails contact where you bought the printer.

I have that printer and same thing happened to me it said no conection but i tried to uninstall the software from the add or remove programs thing it control panel. Then after i deleted it i installed it again using the software that came the printer and it worked.


If this fails you should contact Hp support.

See if your machine comes with software you might need to download onto your computer in order for it to read the scanner. Otherwise, call HP and ask for technical support.
