'nabil' could be an arabic first name. But nothing to do with the French language.

Nabil is an Arabic name. There is a part of Africa known as Maghreb, and lots of Arabs came from there and moved to France. As a result, there are lots of French speakers with Arabic names. Nabil is a common one. When I lived in France, I met several guys named Nabil. There are 6 million muslims living in France, so you're bound to run across lots of arabic names, such as Dikembe, Fez, Zakia, Saleh, etc.

There are French people who are originally Arabs.

Nabil is an Arabic word, also used as a male name, and it means noble.

I don't think it can be a French word.
