I am sorry to hear about your father. I lost my father at a young age also, so I know how you feel.
I can top your "mother makes me nuts" story though. Maybe my experience will make you smile.
I am 51 years old, was married for 23 years, have 2 grown kids, and 3 grandkids.
My mother still comes to my house daily to make sure I made my bed.

You are both probably suffering from the grief associated from the death of your father. Give yourself a chance and also give your mom a chance. Perhaps you could suggest to her that the two of you go and get some grief counseling. This is sometimes offered at the local hospice agency for free. You can find the number in your yellow pages. Good luck and God bless****

At the moment I don't really feel like talking to my mother right now either. Sometimes it's just hard for us to like our family members. They do things to us that makes us wonder why they do it in the first place and expect us to understand. I do understand what you are going through and I hope that things do work out for you :)

my mom is the same the only reason why she talks to me is cause my dad tells her to i hate my mom too she getz in EVERYONES buisness there is not one thing she doesnt know about she knows when they neighboors did this thry did that EVERYTHING i get mad at her tonz of times but the only thing that keeps me away 4rm socking the s@%t of her and telling her off is my freinds and my babe whom i love the most.
freinds are the key to getting u throught the hardest times when parents are supposed to be arround
when u feel lonely, sad, annoyed ,frustrated, ect. turn to your freinds or boyfreind if u have one and u'll find comfort within them

I love my mom dearly but we cannot get along for even a day. I would like to tell you that it will get better but I am 37 and still waiting for that day.

I like my mum..Sometimes my ideas and opinions regarding do differ but that's alright. You can't always say things just to please ur mom.. All mums want their best for their kids..You just give her more time and do talk her about ur inner feelings about her..

My mom's been dead for over 20 years and I'd happily slit someone's throat if it would give me one more afternoon with her. Quit whining and be thankful you have a mother.
