Law abiding citizens should purchase bigger and badder weapons along with the police. Remember the second amendment?

All police departments are under funded and under staffed, and under equipped. I think all law enforcement should be better equipped, not only with vehicles, but in the firepower department. I know this will never happen, but I know for a fact that the military has weapons that law enforcement should have access to, to better protect themselves and the public. Dirtbags are well equipped and have no problem in showing it off.

They should, but I don't think it will happen because situations where they face assault weapons rarely happen. On the other hand, there could be a situation like in that bank robery in which the robers had assault rifles and bullet proof vests and it took forever for the police to be able to get them because they only had handguns.

I think they should but unfortunately the powers that be are steadily taking away what little they have. Most cops aren't allowed to carry billy clubs anymore and a lot of places are taking away real bullets and giving them beanbags. It is getting rediculous. They are putting their lives on the line for us and we are telling them they can't protect themselves. All because of a few bad cops.

It is not the weapons that matters, it is being proficient with weapons. You can have the most modern weapons at your disposal, but if you can't hit anything with them, they are as useless as a one legged chair.
