It's only the "most important event" of the Bush presidency because HE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING ELSE.

who DOES consider it the most important event???
compared to what exactly - the rest of history?
it would be crazy to suggest it is the most important event in terms of history, far more important wars have taken place which have made the world what it is today. If certain armies had not won etc. the world would be a very different place with many cultures not even existing.

In comparison to that i think it is safe to say the iraq war is fairly insignificant - it has had no direct on my life let alone seriouisly impacting the future of the entire world

It is one of the important event certainly. Primarily because people are dying on both sides.

I also consider the nuclear weapons programs or Iran, North Korean, India and Pakistan important events because of the possible use of those weapons.
