When trying to mind my weight I stumble before I get started because I'm always snacking. My meals are fine and I drink plenty of water (large bottle / half a day) but I also drink quite a bit of milk and iced coffees. It's mostly the afternoons and evenings spent in my room that lead to snacking, mindless and fast I hardly even notice it. Finding something to do out of the house is not an option right now so how can I find the willpower to just do whatever I'm doing at home without snacks?

Snacking is fine as long as you are snacking on the right things. Make sure that you eat plenty at meal times (eat healthy though) and make sure you keep up the water as well. Try snacking on fruit (apples are a personal favourite) or low fat yogurt which will cut down on the calories and help keep the weight at bay.

Throw away all the snacks (or give them to a friend or homeless person). If you don't have any in the house, you won't snack. If you want, you can buy just ONE bag of chips that will have to last you for the week, so you can still get a bit of snacking in, but once it's gone, it's gone and no more until next week (this is what I do with chocolate, so I can get my fix, but I don't over do it).

Go for 6 healthy meals a day instead of 3 - make them smaller. This is 'grazing', a great way to maintain a healthy weight. If your food options are healthy you should be okay, and you can hold off the urge to junk out on bad food. good luck!

Well, it's not healthy, but I took up smoking. Instead of snacking, I light up, heh. But just not having anything around to snack on is your best bet, or switch to apples, sugar free gum...

Even better is to tell yourself "Okay, I'll eat something." But don't really. Just pretend you actually did, you know?

get rid of the snacks [throw em out, stop buying them] stock up on healthy snacks like fruit and if you find yourself not wanting fruits it proves your not hungry you just want to eat, this will teach you when your hungry and when your not [i get that alot too]
