no sorry i tilted a candle that i just blown out to look at the design on the side and i forgot there was wax in the candle and turns out my friends cat was under me and i spilled it on the cat. the hair fell out and she went bald for a few weeks and it all grew back. so she will be fine (there is no other way of getting it out)

Just cut the wax out to save both of you the grief of trying to remove it. There could be chemicals in the wax that are not healthy for ingestion. You don't want to take the chance that she could become ill.

Oops! Try a really fine tooth comb, which may comb some of it out. Washing and stuff like that wouldn't really work. Be glad... if you've every washed a cat you'll understand. If the fine tooth comb doesn't work try cutting the top hair, you shouldn't need to shave it all off, just cut the waxy parts.

Are you sure she didn't get burned??? Ouch!

Try holding ice on the wax to make it brittle enough to break off and come off the hair easier. If you do try to cut the wax off, PLEASE be careful with scissors as I have seen many cats skin cut in that manner. They don't seem to react in pain much, and they don't bleed much, but their skin is so thin and fragile, it is very easily cut (a friend worked at an emergency vet clinic and one cat the owners cut matts off had 30 cuts in its skin from their butcher job!!!).

Good luck, but if in doubt... leave it to a groomer or vet to use a clippers to get the wax off.

pet your cat with one had while trying to break the wax with the other and then use a flea brush to remove the wax particles.

I would try to put ice cubes on the wax to freeze it and the wax should just come off.

Poor kitty. If she'll tolerate the sound of a blow dryer- set it on warm and melt the wax & daub it off with a paper towel.

Wow. Not that I know of you may want to take her to the nearest grooming parlor, they may have a trick or two. Remember please pets are just like babies, you can not leave stuff like that unattended. Be thankful wax in the hair is all that happened and not serious burns or eye damage etc.
