This is exactly what Blind FAITH is
How do you know that any book is correct that is written by anyone at anytime
You have to read and decide for yourself
It is a choice thing
not a beat you over the head thing

I think your question is really a valid one, and it is something that I wrestled with over 40 years ago when I was a young man. I realized that the "buck" has to stop somewhere. Everyone whether or not they think they do or not has to establish an authority in their life just simply because we don't know everything. There is a wide slection to choose from. Human reason is one of the big ones because we know that no one cares more about our welfare than we do ourselves, so that's the natural one to choose. Science is another. Some person, either a religious figure, or a political figure or a philosopher. Education is another big one or "Mother nature". Spirits, experience, miracles, etc. Anyway, that choice will determine where the "buck" stops in your life. Personally I made the choice to accept the Bible because of my upbringing, but also because it had proven true to me for the first 20 years or so of my life. There were so many sources of belief out there so I decided that I would not accept anything that I could not clearly find taught in plain simple teaching in the Bible. That settle it for me, and I have lived since that time with that mentality. If I am wrong it really doesn't matter to me, because I am satisfied with the life I have had and wouldn't want it any other way. I can't condemn anyone else for what they believe, but this has worked well for me.

A proper answer to you would take up much more space than is proper here on YA... But...The Faith of The True Christian is not in The Bible. The Faith of The True Christian in is The Truth of God and The Salvation Message. And this is from the direct promise of God to the individual.... Those of The True Christian Faith do rely on God as The Holy Spirit to guide our study of The Bible of The Christian Faith. And our trust is in God.... The Truth of The Salvation Message is a personal thing and not from any written word...why do I believe? that is not an easy thing to say. But I know what I know is The Truth... and I did not even own a Bible on The day of my Salvation... if you would like to read my testimony you may at:

Well, let me ask you something. Who was our first president of the United States? George Washington you say? How do you know? How does any of us know? Because it is written in books from our ancestors long ago. And carried on form generation to generation. Just like the Bible. And yes, I very much believe. Try to set down and just read the Bible and understand. Think about this....Do you really think the the earth, air, water, plants, animals, humans, literally everthing, just happened? I think not! All of this is so complex working together to sustain all of us, including plants and animals, that it could not just happen. It would take a supreme being to do that. And with that my dear, you find God. Bless you.

Hebrews 11:1-3
1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2: For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Also, with the world we live in, they are taking God out of everything......look @ the disaters occurring. I believe the bible to be true simply on my faith. Otherwise, where did the world come from and up to this point, Who has saved us from destroying ourselves all together. Remove God and the Bible from schools = school shootings Remove God and the Bible from our Government = Corrupt. You believe what you chose to believe, but I'll stand firm for what I believe.... Heaven and Hell are real, and I chose the Path to Heaven ... What will you chose?

Well, I wasn't there when much of history was recorded in or out of the Bible. The life of the Bible is in its teaching of honesty, forgiveness, tolerance, love, the quest for knowledge, wisdom and spiritual growth in order to prepare for the next realm. Also to make a connection to the creative force and understand we are not gods unto our selves If Jesus hadn't taught those things, it would be just another compilation of historical information that may or may not be 100% accurate.

Dear lady,
I do not recall how many times I have answered questions from you, but I continue to say that there is no other book like the Bible! It is the very word of God. If you are really seeking truth, you must come very humbly before God. It is His word and only He can open your spiritual eyes to see. Our sins have made us spiritually blind. Our sins have separated us from the Lord. Read John 8. Jesus is speaking with the religious leaders of that day. They went to the best rligious schools and got their degrees but they were not saved. They knew of God but they did not know God as Savior. There are many people in Y/A Religion that know facts in the Bible but they are not saved. Check out my references.

Because I have read it and studied it through and found out that it was written by 40 writers in the span of 1500 years, most of them never met each other, but came up with a book that is harmonious, containing prophecies so accurately fuliflled, and having power to change millions of lives. That book have been tried to be destroyed many times during its existence for 3500 years, but instead of eliminated, it is now the most translated, printed, distributed and read book in the whole world.
I have no right to criticize any book which I haven't read, just as I would be a very poor judge in telling the a fruit seller that the fruits in his stall are all sour and bitter until I tasted every one of them.
The Bible says "by their fruits you shall now them". The fruits of reading the Bible and live up to its principles have been proven by me and millions of others in the world.

The Bible is just a book unless it is applied, and in order to apply something we must first believe that it is able to produce the desired effect. That is called faith.
And a more personal level words are what holds "Concretes " things together.
Words are the key to the doorway of the very universe that we live in .
For me the Bible is a Channel, Doorway to God. it is through our understanding that we are able to relate, catagorize, and thus to have access to KNOWLEDGE> .
When I read and ubderstand my Bible I am able to Atually FEEL what I am reading and to know that it is true.
Knowing is the key word here.
It is not about guessing , or hoping that it is the real word of God it is in the knowing.
And once we know something for sure and with out a doubt it becomes real.
CONCRETE.
He is Real, His Word is Real, No Doubt about it.

In one word: Prophecy.
There have been hundreds of prophecies in the Bible, and as each one comes to the appropriate time, it is fulfilled with 100% accuracy. One very obvious prophecy that stares us in the face each day that has been fulfilled, is the rebirth of the nation of Israel. Never in history as a nation been reborn, reclaimed a dead language, and fulfilled about 10 other prophecies pertaining to the rebirth. Jesus foretold this 2000 years ago, and it came true May 15th, 1948. Name anyone in all of time that has foretold something that far into the future. It would be like me asking you for the starting lineup of the World Series in 4007. this is just one example of many, all of which have 100% accuracy.
