This is a letter from my soldier; While at BAF we watched a Fallen Comrade ceremony…the street was lined with warriors from every branch of the service…the weather was chilly and dark…and then came the open-ended humvee with the flag draped casket in the back. We watched as someone’s son, brother, father, husband made there way towards eternity…the emotions are hard to contain and it was so moving to see everyone out there, standing in solidarity, in the cold saluting as the fallen hero passed. Not a word was said…just the silence of angels welcoming home a brave soul who gave his all for the freedom that so many enjoy. Another Gold Star banner to be hung in the home of a great American family…Another flag that will be folded and presented to those he left behind…Another champion of the helpless welcomed by the Lord on this solemn day…

God Bless the families of those who give their sons and daughters for the great cause of freedom…may their memory forever be etched on the faces of

Well, it's easy for Kerry because he did it 30 years ago while US soldiers (John McCain, Adm. Stockdale, etc). were still held in captivity by the enemy. Kerry and others truly believe that the men and women protecting their butts are uneducated and join the military because they are too stupid to work in the private sector. The left loathes the military, Clinton certainly did.

Yes, we are losers.

I am a Marine Veteran. Served during both Gulf Wars. I served to protect the rights of Americans, whether I agree with them or not. I also afforded them the right to call me a loser, a killer, a warmonger, a monster, a hater, and so forth by voluntarily sacrificing many of my personal freedoms, and a majority of my lifespan.

Kerry and those like him (especially if they served) are hypocrites. I fought for them too. I may hate them, and wish they would remember that they were once illiterate and stupid too, but they are "above" us now so they can say what they want about us stupid grunts.

I really don't care what they say as politicians. It is the things that the people of this country do and say about soldiers, Marines and service members in general that hurts most.

If you were to ask someone who was serving in Iraq right now what mattered most, I am pretty sure they would agree. We learned to ignore the poloticians as servicemembers, they just talk all the time anyways. We care more about what our neigbors, friends and families think about us, because that's who we really fight for, not poloticians and crusaders.

I am proud to be an illiterate loser. At least I know what my freedom is really worth, many have no clue what "freedom" means.

To those of you that have served, suffered a loss, or support our military, I thank you and say it has been an honor to serve you, and with you.

The rest of you can say what you like, I still don't care. You are the true losers, in my opinion.

This doesn't seem to be a question at all and apparently you did not see you message was cut off part way due to length so not all of your message was shown...

To answer the question... first Kerry never called the soldiers losers... he was making a joke at a college speech at the importance of education. The line was meant to be delivered as a joke, but Kerry took it upon himself to make the statement a point on how Bush has us involved in a war that has us needing more and more soldiers while this country and many others question why we are even in Iraq.

Soldier have this negative stigma as being under educated because in reality, and this is unfortunate, most are. Many are high school dropouts or from under-privileged areas where the education isn't the best and the army and various other service groups offer a way out or a way to achieve more than they could in their situations. There are obviously many exceptions to this of people who do wish to volunteer, but for the most part people join the armed services due to circumstance. Another blow to the military image is now because of the need for troops we are lowering the IQ requirement for troops entering the military to 10 points above mentally retarded to allow recruiters to meet goals. I am sure this has a negative impact on them image of the military as well.

I am saddened by the war in Iraq but it is not fair to say that about Kerry. It's just not fair, whether you like him or hate him. Everyone knows he left out a word....if this is what people are concerned about then this is a very depressing because Brittny Spears has the whole world in a frenzy because she didn't wear underwear to a club and someone got a pic of her getting out of a car......same as Jon Kerry.....he apologised for leaving out a word...do you really think he would make a speech about how the military are just a bunch of losers and think the crowd wouldn't lynch him up there? I am not a Kerry supporter nor a Bush supporter.

If we devalue the worth of the soldiers, the general public will not see it as such a loss if we send them to die for the economic good of the country or its leaders. Because if they are sending intelligent service members over who can enrich our country after they seperate from the military, they are not only committing a crime against the soldiers and their families, but also against the country they have sworn to serve.

It is counterprductive for them to claim the ignorance of soldiers, however. Our military is stretched thin and is not meeting recruiting goals. Telling the nation that our soldiers are stupid is not really the way to beef up the military, which depletes their power against foreign enemies and people who have resources America wants.

John Kerry slandered everyone that ever served this country. He slandered his own service to the military. He led a smear campaign against everyone that ever served as citizen soldiers in the Guard or Reserves. While I already find his own service questionable (he later stated that attrocities that he testified to were not actually performed in his presence, that blows his credibility in my opinion, not to mention, three purple hearts for wounds that I received while shaving, but that is my own opinion), he had the audacity to tell everyone that is serving their country that they are stupid. To top it off, he tried to backtrack it, refusing to own up to his own statements.

I served with a number of people in my time in the Marines. Some were brilliant, some not. Some had a way with words, others had a brutal honesty with no polish. But they all shared one thing. Regardless of their upbringing, their age, their IQ or their eloquence, they all stood up for their country, they took an oath to defend the Constitution that so many fought and died for in the past. That makes them Heroes, in every sense of the word. Their names will forever be written as those that stood up for what they believed in. And while this quote is from the movie Full Metal Jacket, and is about the Marine Corps, it applies equally to anyone that ever donned a uniform in defense of those that could not help themselves, whether it be the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, Air Force, National Guard, Police or Fireman.

"The Marine Corps lives forever, therefore YOU will live forever."

This nation has survived for two hundred and thirty years on a hope, a prayer and the backs of those willing to bear the cost to defend it, and while we may never know the names of all those that sacrificed what was most precious to them in defense of that dream, we shall always keep the memory of their sacrifice in our hearts.

John Kerry folks...is a loser. Thank God we did not put him in power last time, we'd all be screwed one way or another, in far worse ways then we are now.
The insults he throw at our troops appalled me, and I didnt care for him before that...so he can piss off.

I have to say I am hurt each time I hear of our brave men and women being killed, ...Why can't we just bring it all back home- point our guns outward, batten our hatches...and warn the world we will shoot anything that steps AT us. Maybe a huge nationwide fortification...I dunno.
Yeah, reality...I know....but I just wish.

I Salute ALL of you out there or anywhere you may be...doing a job that keeps us safe here at home. As well as allied troops of other countries.
YOU ROCK!

Happy Holidays to all.

John F'n Kerry is a sick little man. He says stuff about our troops to make himself look better. The same with John Murtha and the whole bunch of them. I personally have no respect for any of them. I love our military. I served 4 years in the U.S. Army and I am very proud to say so.

God Bless our troops all over the world!

Well, i am a soldier. Currently in germany, recently returned from Iraq. I have seen the crazy religious guy saying thank god for IED's and them protesting funerals of my fallen brothers and sisters and it makes me sick. Now we have politicians calling us stupid. I have 2 bachelors degrees and halfway done my masters. I could have kept my job making close to 6 figures a year, but no, i chose to serve my country. I understand most arent as educated as i am, but they still have the class, courage and intelligence enough to be a soldier/airmen/marine or sailor in the best military in the world. I know we fight for your freedom to say such things, but believe me, if it keeps up, maybe we wont want to do so anymore, and that makes me sad. Remember what my friends have died for and what we are all about. Be proud of us and your country.
