This is a letter from my soldier; While at BAF we watched a Fallen Comrade ceremony…the street was lined with warriors from every branch of the service…the weather was chilly and dark…and then came the open-ended humvee with the flag draped casket in the back. We watched as someone’s son, brother, father, husband made there way towards eternity…the emotions are hard to contain and it was so moving to see everyone out there, standing in solidarity, in the cold saluting as the fallen hero passed. Not a word was said…just the silence of angels welcoming home a brave soul who gave his all for the freedom that so many enjoy. Another Gold Star banner to be hung in the home of a great American family…Another flag that will be folded and presented to those he left behind…Another champion of the helpless welcomed by the Lord on this solemn day…

Well, that was a heros homecoming, and though I never served(something I regret now)I was a born in '65 and was influenced by the NO WAR people, and until I matured, didnt realize the great honor your soldier is doing.Kerry like so many others cant grasp this concept and I wished I couldve when I was at recruiting age,but alas I can only support you and your soldier.Tell him for me that I'm proud of him and to come back as an example of what America really stands for and why we are the great nation we live up to be.
