They are red, raised bumps covering the majority of the body. Of course, they start off as one or two bumps. They also come with a fever, so if you're noticing a bumpy rash with fever, go to the doctor ASAP.

They're red with a small whitish head, kinda like a pimple or a blister. They usually start in warm areas of the body such as underarm, stomach, groin. A warm bath will bring more out. Use oatmeal bath for itching.

starts as a big whitehead looking pimple
then bursts and becomes crusty looking lesion for about 7-10 days
usually accompanied by fever
usually starts on the trunk area (stomach/back)
then spreads
watch for hacking cough b/c then it could be spreading into the lungs
uncommon in this season though more common in March -May
if it's the baby in your pic, put socks on his/her hand to prevent scratching/spreading.

When they first start to pop up they are like little fluid filled blisters it not for a day or so that they burst and start to crust over.
