It wouldn't be safe to lose more than .33lb a day. That can be achieved by consuming 1000 calories less than what you burn a day, but never consume less than 1200.

Calculate your daily calorie requirement here: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

As other people have said, eat six small, healthy meals a day, get a moderate amount of exercise, eat lots of fibre and cut out sugary foods.

First and foremost, you could only sustain this rate of weight loss for 1-2 weeks (5-7 lbs/week) and thats only if you are obese and most of that would be water weight.

1-2 lbs./week is a general rule of thumb as a maximum rate of weight loss.

It's a mathematical and scientific certainty that if you eat slightly fewer calories than you burn per day you will loose weight. Each day should include at least 30 minutes of exercises even if it's just brisk walking. Keep in mind that although muscle weighs more than fat, building muscle mass increases your calorie burning capabilities, even burning while you are at rest/sleep.

To do this, I would highly recommend lowering carbs and fats, but never going below 20-25% for either as a % of your total daily calories. Sort of a 25-50-25 rule (carbs-protein-fat). Per gram of food, protein has the fewest calories.

Good luck.

There is no healthy way. The highest healthy amount of weight one can lose is 2 lbs a week. Try this website: www.sparkpeople.com for healthy diet tips. They have helped me lose 42 lbs, and I am confident they will help me lose that last 27.

Good luck!

That's 5.25 lbs a week, and isn't really a good idea. I don't know why you want to lose .75 a day, but it's virtually impossible without doing something unhealthy.

I would suggest dieuretics, but this is simply a short term solution. Good luck Pete.
