Germany was a good country until Hitler used his crazy , insane actions on this country and it's people. You fail to tell how many were not any religion at all . Even so, Germany was like any other country, once men/women were forced into the German Army, they obeyed orders. Even many of the German Soldiers, did not approve of what Hitler was doing, twords the end of the war. Many German Soldiers helped the Jewish People. Hitler would order to kill his own Army, had they not obeyed. I see what your trying to insinuate, but your overlooking the fact that Hitler's Army, were obiediant. Now Germany hangs their head in shame for what their leader did to so many innocent Jewish People , Polish, Norwegian, German, Austrian, and may other countries and the innocent ones. I bet you any money that the majority of the German Army, did not think of any Christianity , during the war. SO I think your % . are Wrong !

If Germany was a Muslim nation then what would you say? Hitler didn't pick his troops based on religion. He picked based upon proximity, and Hitler wouldn't be so famous if he didn't allow Christians in his army because he would have no army. What religion was Genghis Khan? What religion is Kim Jong Il. What religion were all the Japanese emperors who brutally killed those they opposed?

Hitler was smart. He was able to use people's egos to get the betterment of them. He convinced the nation that the problems lies in certain groups of people. Then he told the nation that since they were better than others, then they should take what is rightfully theirs. And of course the nation wants to believe that because they wanted an answer to their problems.

Now a Christian will say.
Hitler was an atheist.
Nazis were bad therefore atheists are bad.
Now someone who dislikes mustaches will say
Hitler had a mustach and was a bad man therefore all people with mustaches are bad people.

They thought they knew better, and were above their religious beliefs. They were convinced they were the supreme race-ah! That's what happens when you forget your roots and blindly follow someone into the unknown towards disaster. This sounds kind of like what's happening to the U.S. nowadays, but nobody really cares enough.

I think the Lutherans were cool with Hitler. I would also imagine there was a campaign that encouraged and gave citizens an opportunity to cease any affiliations with unapproved organizations.
