Any other oddities out there? P.S. Monosyllabic means a word that has 1 syllable such as; the, is, was - just a suggestion.

Of course, there is the fact that lisp has an "s" in it and that phonetics is not spelled phonetically.

Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

And, there may be no "I" in team, but there is a "me" if you look hard enough...

Don't know, but another oddity would be in phonetically spelling out websites. Why do we say "double-you double-you double-you dot"? Wouldn't "World Wide Web Dot" be easier? It trips off the tongue.
