So my girlfriends friend just broke up with her boyfriend and she seemed a little crazy when she talked about her ex-bf's new girlfriend. Well, I was talking with MY gf about whether or not her friend and her ex every had sex. I told her not to tell her what I asked. The next week goes by and she asks her friend about whether or not they had sex and to top it off, she included that I asked her about it.

What do I do? I really really like this girl but I don't wanna keep dating her if she can't keep personal convo's private.

Colleen O...I told her to keep it private therefore it WAS a personal conversation which means be quiet about it.

Ummmmm.....

don't tell her private things and

explain to her that you can't discuss

or tell her certain things because she

obviously can't keep her mouth shut.

She sounds very immature.

My boyfriend, actually was the same way [and he is older and should know better]. I trained him to 'run silent, run deep' to let people 'guess' about you instead of telling them everything about your life. In other words....Silence is Golden.

I'm a very private person and i had the same problem with my ex bf. he simply could not understand how i didn't want him making illusions to, or speaking to others about things i thought he understood were said in a private convo between me and him. he kept violating my privacy over and over, i would confront him about it and he was absolutely clueless. altho he understood after i explained to him why it made me uncomfortable, it never clicked in his head when he did something new that it might be connected to what had previously made me uncomfortable. in the end it was a major factor in why i broke up with him. it just felt like a lack of trust and communication, we were not compatible enough.

Don't do anything except talk to her about it. If you really like her besides that, then you should hold on to her because girls talk. If you get another girlfriend, she will talk too, and she may not be as good as the one you have now. You will get used to it, even though it is really annoying when the person you trust most can't keep her/his mouth shut.

I think you understand her more then you realize.

You see, even though she can't keep private conversations private, you also can control the need to tell her.

Dont' expect her to stop, unless you find a way to do it yourself.

Makes sense??? Thought you would agree.

All the best to you.

She is a blabber mouth I'd get out of there if i were you she is going to get you into a lot of trouble. That is what girls do best. If you don't just watch what you say around her from now on and your back. Good Luck.

It WASN'T a "personal" conversation. YOU asked about whether another couple had had sex or not. Her friend had every RIGHT to know what you were asking about her. If you don't want people to know what you are asking about them or that you are talking about then then keep YOUR trap zipped.

Then don't tell her anything you don't want everyone to know! Get to know her better first and maybe she will learn to keep her mouth shut .Some people never learn how to do that though. Good luck to you!

Just tell her you have a real problem with her blabbing stuff out which you consider sensitive. If she doesn't listen dump her.
Or at least dump her for a day or two , then she'll listen for real!
