okay so i like a guy whose 2 years older than me (im 15, hes 17) and he likes me back equally, if not, more!

were not going out, kind of just enjoying eachothers company sort of shabang, but there are complications with our relationship that are just killing me...

1. his friends are a lot different than mine/me. its like we live in a different world.

2. my parents love meeting guys before i can go anywhere with them, and i dunno if theyll approve of an older guy. but if i talk to them about it, and they say "no" then ill get in trouble if i hang out with him, as oppose to not saying anything, and not getting in trouble because they did not make their rule clear.

3. im young..and i dunno...it seems like im a not less mature even though i can be pretty grown up sometimes.

any advice???!!!! CAUSE I NEEEEDDD HEEELLLPPP!!!!

Your parents have a right to worry, and as much you like this guy, your parents genuinely love you and are there for life. It's better to play it safe with your parents, than to lose their respect and trust just for some random guy who you may split up with after a few days (you never know!)!

Many people will say that any older guy who dates a girl younger than 16 has some issues. That's not your problem, but his. Even if his friends/parents approve of you, in the back of their heads, they will be thinking that you are not legally old enough to be in a physical relationship and this may cause friction. It only takes someone influential to tell this guy that you're not mature enough to be having a relationship- and then BAM- you could be dumped.

If he's such a great guy, hang on that extra year. You'll be 16- that way, when you confide in your parents, they'll respect that you waited till you were old enough to handle a relationship.

Enjoy your friendship. Maybe at new year you could sneak in a kiss beneath the Mistletoe. But leave the real relationship stuff for a time when you don't have to consult Yahoo Answers to start one!
