Have you ever heard of Occam's Razor? It is an ancient and honorable process known in philosophy schools: When two or more explanations present themselves for a given set of facts, it is most likely the simplest explanation that is the truth.

In order to substantiate a serious conspiracy theory, you would need to get past the fact that it would necessarily involve a great many people, and a lot of planning at large and small levels. And you would therefore need to explain how so many people could be so effectively silenced that no shred of actual physical evidence, or even consistent verbal testimony, has emerged from what would have been a conspiracy of enormously greater complexity than Watergate.

I am not saying it is literally impossible that any facts bearing on 9/11/01 are being kept secret. Small details can indeed be covered to protect various individuals for various reasons. But a large, necessarily international conspiracy, conscious and secret planning to lie, kill, and in great complexity deceive, literally billions of people -- no, such a theory does not pass Occam's Razor. The simpler theory, clearly, is that these were Islamic fanatics, and where they came from and why they did it is indeed pretty well known in considerable detail.

Ideas -- not people consciously conspiring, but the spreading of certain evil ideas -- are what killed all those people on 9/11/01. The idea that those poor suckers would gain paradise and a host of beautiful houris. The idea that there was a political advantage to be gained by goading them into doing it. The idea that there is ever an excuse for killing innocent people.

Those kinds of ideas.

Planes were hijacked by terrorists. On one, the passengers fought back and the plane hit a field in Pennsylvania. The other three hit WTC 1, 2 and the Pentagon. The shock of the impact tore the insulation off of the supports, exposing the high-strength concrete core to burning jet fuel. This resulted in explosive spalling (explosive shattering of the concrete due to massive temperature shift), and ultimately the collapse of the building. The falling debris tore a big chunk out of the front of WTC 7 and started fires in the building interior, resulting in collapse several hours later. The passport of a terrorist was supposedly found in the wreckage, but it is highly likely that this was planted.

The jet that hit the Pentagon was mostly aluminum, which happens to be flammable at high temperatures. Have you ever tossed an empty beer can into a fire?

The center of mass of the airplane had enough force behind it to punch through several feet of concrete, leaving a gaping hole. The engines tore off the wings and impacted the solid concrete wall but had insufficient momentum and were merely smashed into a large number of small pieces. Some of these were later identified as parts from an auxiliary motor to the rear of the plane. Others were genuinely from the engines, contrary to what many conspiracy theorists claim.

It is hard to be certain to what level the government was involved. I believe that while they did not order it, they may have known it was going to happen and decided not to stop it. Someone clearly knew: insider trading that effectively bet on the collapse (called a "put option") began in incredible volume before the attack.

The general public doesn't know for sure. I don't know.

I would like to say that we have a government that is more concerned about the safety of the American citizens than their own power trips, but I doubt it more everyday.

I have watched some of the movies talking about the conspiracy theories. I am not saying that I necessarily believe them, but they do offer more scientific explanations for what happened than what the government has offered. They also raise some really good questions.

What I do know is that it is wrong for the government of a democratic society to hide facts from the people who are supposed to be in charge of their country- the citizens. No matter what happened on 9/11, there were a lot of facts that were hidden. That goes against the constitution which makes it very wrong.

On September 11th 2001 two planes crashed into the World Trade Centre. As aeroplane fuel burns at 700 degrees centigrade and steel burns at 1400 degrees centigrade, explosives were detonated from within the buildings to make it look like a horrific attack. The chances of one building collapsing in the way it did were calculated at over a 1000 to one, for both buildings to collapse in a near identical fashion after a plane collision the odds rose to over a million to one. Unless of course pre arranged explosives were placed within both buildings.
In all the rubble a pristine clean passport was found! Magically this unblemished passport led to the identities of the kidnappers.
On that day when the planes could have easily been shot down there was a "bit of a mix up" and confusion from ALL ground contact. All air traffic and security had been working perfectly well all year up to that one day , another 365 to one chance?
Hmmm? 365 times 1000, 000= 365 million to 1 chance that some how it wasn't a set up..........

Bush and Cheny bombed the towers, the two most competent US government leaders we've ever had. The number of people it would've taken to pull off the largest mass murder in history could fill one of the towers. The Watergate and Enron cases were known by a handful of people and their secrets were leaked. The 9/11 kept thousands quiet.

OTHER CONSPIRACIES TO THINK ABOUT:

1. We knew the Japanese were going to bomb Pearl Harbor before they did. I mean come-on President Roosevelt liked the thought of our boys baking inside the Battle Ship Arizona before they died. The President was looking for a better way to get a good nights sleep.

2. America did not land on the Moon. We payed billions of dollars for the 360 foot Saturn 5 rocket so we could look at it and say wow that is a big rocket. We kept approx. 400,000 technicians, scientists and construction contractors quiet, with zero leaks to the public. The rocks that we thought that came from moon and have proved to be from the moon are really from the Pacific Ocean.

3. The Mafia whacked JFK, via the Russian connection, via the Cuban connection.... The man on the grassy knoll was a CIA agent acting on orders from Giancana from Chicago and Marcello from New Orleans, with duplicity from Castro and Kruschev....true story.

4. Aliens landed in Roswell and we transported them to Area 51 to back engineer their technology, where do you think the stealth air craft came from? Again, we kept it secret by brain washing the thousands of workers who were in on the scam.

5. The Moon we see every night is really not there along with the planets, stars as well as the Planet Killing Asteroids. Those were put there by the evil United States to toy with our minds.

6.The Jews did not suffer in Germany because there was no Holocaust. Actually it was the Jews that was torturing the poor blond haired deprived Germans. Those tattoos on the Jews arms and hands that are still alive today (by the grace of God) are really there because they want to be hip.

7. The fossils of homo eructus, neandertals and 15 other hominids that are extinct were put there by paleotologists, archeologists, and assorted rock hounds to enhance their careers. Creationism is the only reality.

8. America is a conspiracy and is a fake country and none of us Americans really live here.

9. I was never born so this response to your question is a fake.

I have seen a lot of material on the conspiracy theory. Enough to believe it. I mean it all does make since, what were all the little flashes going off inside the Twin Towers lower levels just as it fell? To me, the flashes looked just like one of those controlled demolitions of buildings, where they place explosives throughout the building to help it go down. They just didn't expect someone to catch it on tape, but someone DID !!!! AND the Pentagon just has one circular hole where the body of the plane went through, but doesn't have any damage for the places for the two engines, AND they only found 1 engine. AND, they have found several of the supposed suicide pilots ALIVE. Well, that's my opinion. But, what do I know.

1) There are no conspiracy "theories" They are nothing more than rants by deluded people.
2) We were attacked by Islamofascist terrorists.
3) The war is not about oil. Never was. Never will be. We could have obtained oil more easily by invading Daudi Arabia & some of the little gulf states.

I don't believe any of the conspiracy theories, but they do show us 1 thing:

Big mistakes were made that day

The plains should have been intercepted, contacts between agencies were to slow, the emergency services were unprepared to the situations (understandable but we need to learn from this)

Blah Blah Blah....to the theory of an inside job, just tells us you place the victims lower...plus disrespects those lives lost trying to help.
Get a grip man! Its like the Alien and Area-51 crap...you'll stop caring before "they" come out with any truths. Even then...how can it be more than theory?
