Memorized prayers are for children.
You need to seek God from your heart.
Jesus fixed the gap,so you can pray to the Father.
Talk to Jesus as your Friend,but with respect.
You can tell Jesus the word said(the word can not lie).
But pray from your heart.

Yes, prayer can change the course of ones life and bring peace and joy so it can also do that.
Prayer has no limitation, either of distance or place, witha pure and sincere heart, prayer can do wonders. It brings the seed of enlightment and is able to change a situation. It warms the lonely heart and brings shelter to the homeless. Prayer imprisons our fear and let loose our joy.

Why beg for a God to do something for you that simple meditation can do?
Don't you do anything for yourself? Are you always looking for some prayer to get this or that. Why doesn't this God just create a hot line. You know 1 900 Pink Elephant! Perhaps then you'd realize HE IS NOT REAL!

Psalm 51 may not be bad to say.
