Sure. And I know they are on the wrong path. This isn't a contest.

Yup. I'm related to a couple, unfortunately. Whether it was the Lutheranism I was originally born into or my current atheism, both of these relations of mine think they're better than me because they know all about religion and go to church where I don't.

Right. Like I wasn't raised for 20 years in the same church, I suddenly don't know a thing about the religion because I quit going. *shakes her head*

More from muslims than anyone else. Christians don't get the "they know more about religion" thing as much as the "My way or the highway thing". Funny, though - my mother-in-law, as a Catholic, seems to have gotten this mostly from Jews when she was growing up.

It's silly nonsense really - I try to laugh it off and vote with my feet these days.

Peace!

As most (well, I mean all) people know more than I do about being Roman Catholic, I never think about this.
I know just enough to not be excommunicated.
I never knew if they think they are better than I am, (or care) sorry.

No,but I have met people who thought that they were better than me because they saw my personal beliefs ever so inferior to theirs.

Not having a religion being an athiest I find all religionists think they know better than me, they will often lie to prove it too.

i hate to say it but ,
that would be every single Christian that i have met
now dont get me wrong , i dont hate them ... it is what they feel they know
but because their book says something about what i believe .... they feel they know more about what i do and tell me it is wrong
they do not understand half of it

yes.

People think lots of things to show they are human. The most proud is often the least worthy of said pride.

I've been accused of that; others have told me, "you think your better than me..." , when in fact I see myself equal I would just like them to stop thinking for me.
