I thought you said that you are a mother of a 13 year old growing up too fast. Now what are you, a teen or adult?

You want respect? Show respect. Give you mom the clothes back, tell her you don't feel you deserve them right now becasue you are not upholding your responsibilities in school. Tell her you have an F in science and are trying to bring it up. Then tell her you would like to get the clothes if you can bring the grade up to a C or B. Total respect if you do it.

stop being spoiled (no ofense) but not everyone gets even a dime for doing good in school.
if you give in to her for money , then what s your next sell out? your body ?
what you do now, determines what you do in the future.
My family barely had enough money for rent let alone food each month , when i was growing up.
im 25 now.
but back in school, i had only one pair of pants and a couple t-shirts , some of them were ripped.
and every day that i came home from school i was wondering wether or not i was going to eat today or not.
each other day, in school i would hope that no one heard my stomach grumbling from hunger.
you must set your prioritys straight.
what do you feel is more important?
wich do you value most in life?
if it is material things and goodies, then by all means do what you need to to get your money or cloths or what ever.
But if you do that, what's to stop you from making similar decisions in the future? yet that have life changing consequences.
you might laugh now, but wait till you sell your soul , then you'll wish you had one chance to talk to yourself when you had the chance of life.

I think she will really be upset if you don't tell her. Have you tried to figure out the problem. Why have your grades dropped so drastically? If you explain that you will try and bring your grades up, and really mean it, I think she will understand. Are you afraid she will take the clothes back if she knows?
The best thing to do, is talk to her, you both can figure out how to solve the problem.

She will probably find out one way or another, so tell her but tell her why it happened. If she loves you she will understand and not get all psycho on. If she gets mad then tell her that you weren't going to tell her because you were afraid that she was going to get mad in the first place. I hope everything works out.

She's going to find out anyway. Might as well get demolished quickly instead of letting the anticipation build up and... getting demolished anyway.
Why the sudden change?
