I've been shy ever since I can remember..and I hate it. I try to not be shy, but it doesn't work..I always think I'll say something stupid.
Well anyways..I like this guy..and I don't want him to think I don't like him because I'm shy..
This has happened before..and I don't want to let this one get away.
what should I do?!

Thanks!

I am like that too. I can't just say what I want because I think I have to be funny or else everybody will think I am stupid. I am currently trying to gain my confidence slowly. Like, answer more questions in class. Then, when we have to pick partners for a group, i will go with somebody else who is shy that also can't find a partner. Then move up to harder things. It will be hard but I am starting high school soon and I don't want to be known as Elizabeth's (my sister) sister.

Don't give up on the plan you come up with. Hope you accomplish you goal.

I am extremely shy too. Whenever i get up the guts to talk to a guy, my face turns red, my hands shake, i studder, and end up saying something stupid and walking away. Shyness sucks. But the best way to overcome it is by forcing yourself to be in social situations. One that you have to talk to people. Then, it should become easier and easier to talk to people. Also, plan out a bunch of different conversations in your head. And if you blush alot, try to think "im not blushing" over an over in your head...it really works! i hope that helped you out...

You should get some outgoing friends. I used to be really shy, but then in the eighth grade I made bestfriends with a girl named Shiloh. She`s extremely outgoing; she randomly goes up to people at the mall and at the theatre and talks to them. Since I`ve been friends with her, I`ve been a lot more outgoing.
