I'm 18 and getting braces soon, how long does it take to get them put on?

It took me 2 sessions - one to fit in the back plates for the big teeth (at the back of your mouth) and then the other session of glueing on the slots, and putting on the wire. Its a strange and frightening expierience, and your teeth feel like they're being clamped together, but its all worth it. The final session when you get em off was a big relief.

It took about an hour for me.
It's not so bad, just kind of gross.
They put this contraption in your mouth to keep your lips out of the way when they're gluing on the brackets (or whatever they're called) and that hurt for me because my mouth is somewhat small. But it didn't hurt that much, it was just a little uncomfortable for the first several minutes. And then my ortho "polished" my teeth with some gross grainy material, it felt like really wet sand.
And then the glue (I just assume that it's the glue) is this gel-like material that smells bad. Try really hard not to taste it.

Im getting braces in a lil under 2 weeks and asked the same question.

Im getting the top braces on first, then in a couple months im getting on teh bottoms. They said it woul take 30 min. to an hour.

Couple of hours tops. It usually doesn't take too long, one or 2 sessions.

about two hours..
the longer it takes, the better, cause if they take thieir time,
ur brackets will be nice and straight.. u dont want them crooked.. ;)
but the bad news is that...
ur mouth has to be open for 2 hours..
and when they take off the thing that keeps ur mouth open,, thers like gonna be saliva.. D:
