Al Salaam Brother... Well, we do have to explain and remove the misconceptions. It is a tricky situation as sometimes unintentionally we tend to put other's religion down. So, I think carefully and tactfully doing so may help. Our need to be right, is not responsible in putting other religions down... but how we do it, what language we use may be.

Masalaam.

Of course it does.

Plus, think about it. If you are a member of a particular religion, you almost have to denigrate other ones. If your way is right, how can others also be right?

It has everything to do with it. Truth needs no defense and actually I don't think God needs us to take up for him. Truth just is and there's no need to put any one down because none of us have arrived at pure truth yet.

I think it depends on you. If you disrespect others just because they don't think the same way you do then yes. I think that everyone has the right to their own beliefs on religion, who am I to say they are wrong! But that's just my opinion! :)

Possibly. But, I do not know. I just know when I hear someone saying Jesus is G-d, this upsets me so much. There is no G-d but G-d. To me, to say Jesus is G-d-----it is blasphemy. It is not following G-d saying, ''thou shall have no other G-d before (but) me''.

Excellent question! In order to be "right" somebody else has to be "wrong."

Instead we should be proud of our own beliefs and be tolerant and inquisitive about other's beliefs.

=)
