There were a lot of doubters of this man's heart and desire when I posed a question in reference to him last week. Some even picked Quintana to win the fight. With the victory and the WBA belt in his possession what do you think the future holds for him? I think he could be a force for years to come in the welterweight division, and a credit to boxing. Would you agree?

I always thought Cotto was a good fighter and he looked impressive to me against Quintana, but i always thought that he got hit a lot and that he needed to work more on his defense. I would love to see him fight Antonio Margarito cause that will be a fight of the year canidate when it happens. Both of them are strong, they both take a lot of punches, and they both have heart. And they come to fight and not run like "Pretty Girl" Mayweather. I think Cotto has a bright future in boxing as long as he fights the best out there. He is a force to be reckoned with!

I am very impressed with Cotto and I believe that he will definetly make the welterweight division even better with his tremendous skill. I believe that he could probably beat Hatton and get a shot at Mayweather Jr which would be a big fight with potentially both fighters being undefeated when they meet in the ring. Cotto is a classy fighter and I believe he is a credit to the sport. Thanks for the good question Brent.

I rooted for Cotto since the beginning , but i though it was going to be a tougher challenge than it was and that Cotto Will start slow being his first fight at 147, I was Wrong, very, very wrong. WOW Cotto , he made it look so simple there is no doubt he is going to be a strong force at 147 , i was really impressed with his defense , the future looks great for him and i don't see any one beating him at 147 but Floyd , and that's questionable also.
I will love to see him fight Cintron , Margarito , and Hatton( if he decides to return to 147) Then Floyd . there are a lot of fights out there for Cotto , But I'm not interested in seeing him fight Urkal , if that fight happens , it will be good for Cotto to stay active , but i don't see much of a challenge there , (i might be wrong)
Cotto is a real Welter Period. And hell i want to see him fight again

Much, much , more intresting that watching Floyd , thats for sure

the winner of the margarito / paul williams fight will test his ability to absorb punishment esp to the body, quintana stopped him in his tracks with a good body shot that hurt cotto but failed to capitalize on that chance. btw has cotto ever been knocked down in a fight?

cotto certainly has the tools to be a great fighter, but i suspect he hasnt got the best chin in the world.hes been dropped and and wobbled on a few occasions.also i feel hes a lot stronger going forward than he is on the back foot.other than these two flaws i think hes a brilliant fighter and definitely one to watch.
