everclear, how much is safe?

in the 190 proof form, how much is safe to drink. and also is it ok to mix with pucker? if not, whats the best way to mix it w/o using any other liquor? but what is the maximum recommended intake at one time?

im 14, 6'1", and 175 pounds

Everclear is very dangerous stuff. I would drink as little as possible because it is so strong. Also some people are allergic to it for some reason, so I would tell people it is in the drinks or punch before they imbibe the stuff.

I won't be around it - old souvenir of my college days. I can recall many people getting sick and some having to go to the emergency room because of Everclear

Everclear is really good to refinish furniture, as a perfume base and take the shellac off floors.

Lets just say, after playing 7 games of pong with jungle juice - vodka, everclear, and punch, I was feeling fantastic by the end of the night, be reminded im 6'8" tall and about 195, keep your liquor consumption to a minimum because the saying is, 5 shots of everclear straight will make you go blind- probably not true. Another idea is to take a big watermelon and cut a whole in the side of it, take about half a bottle of everclear or a little more and let it soak into the watermelon over night, then cut the watermelon and serve, great way to hide the alcohol if you are having a party.

Like the previous posters have indicated, everclear is basically pure alchohol. 190 proof is no joke!!. You need to dilute it with something to drink it. It is relatively cheap so it makes a great alchohol base for a large quanity of liquid. The party favorite is, of course, Jungle Juice, or trash can punch. buy a 32 gallon plastic trash container, (if you have access to large coolers like the Gatorade bullets at NFL games that is even better)j

Buy bunch of Kool aid packets, sugar, and citrus fruit. Mix the Koolaid in the 32 galloon container, slice up and add the fruit, then add the everclear. I would not add more than 1 liter bottle per 4 gallons of liquid. Remember, it will creep up on you because it is pure alchohol. This is a cheap way to serve a lot of people at a big party. If you let it soak for long enough, the fruit becomes quite tasty.

It would depend on a lot of things: how much and how often do you drink? How much do you weigh? How long since you've eaten and how much/what did you eat? Just consider that Everclear is like 20 times more potent then beer or wine, so one ounce of Everclear is going to be the same as 5 beers. If you mix it with Pucker, it's going to be even stronger. We used to mix it with Misty drinks from Dairy Queen, but it only takes a tiny, tiny bit.

Everclear is some pretty dangerous stuff. Should never be taken in shot form - or chugged from the bottle!

You can make "Jungle Juice" by mixing everclear with any punch. Although a container of Jungle Juice is usually intended for the entire party!

For individual servings I would say mix half a shot with a full glass of punch.

I had several soldiers under my command that drank Everclear...all Vietnam vets. They would offer me some but 190 proof is out of my range.

I suggest drinking it in moderation, never more than a pint in 24 hours. As to mixing it? I got the impression from my troops that the mixing Everclear was a sin.

Keep it to a minimum and please have a designated driver.

Well technically one shot of Everclear is approx. 2 1/3 shots of regular liquor. So 5 shots of Everclear is only 2 regular shots shy of half a fifth to yourself. Best way to drink it is drink it and chase it with water, and keep your water intake fairly high or you'll feel it the next day. Cranberry juice, especially ones with other flavors like rasberry, is good too.

There is no one answer to that. Everyone takes alcohol differently. If you do decide to drink everclear, make sure that you drink slowly because that stuff creaps up on you.
