Yes, Its not common, but it can appear. Go to your doctor if you have any doubts and get examined immediately. I have seen girls of 14 years getting cancer. Some times the lumps turns out as a hormone disorder. Just see an Oncologist and he will evaluate the position by some screening and tell you, as anything is possible. As long as you have breasts, there can be cancer. Age do not restrict your getting the disease. But the risk factor for young aged women is less. Please do not neglect and have evaluation by an oncologist-

It is possible for anyone of any age to get breast cancer. I don't know what prompted your question. If it is because you felt a lump it could be related to many things. Young women's breasts are more dense and "lumpier". The consistency of your breasts changes throughout the course of your menstrual cycle and breast exams should always be done at the same time of month each month to better determine what your "normal" is. It could be a cyst. It could be nothing. Do you have a family history of breast, cervical, or uterine cancer? The best thing to do is follow up with your doctor.

I'm afraid it is, though very rare. At 17, your breasts are still developing, which means you find lumps that can be fatty tissue, muscle, etc. All perfectly harmless. The only thing to do is see your doctor or nurse to get your breasts checked out. You might think it's going to be embarrassing, but it's not. Medical staff do these examinations all the time, and it only takes a few minutes to put your mind at ease.

yes it is possible, especially if you have a family history

but if you have felt a lump --- first take a breath
speak to your family and go to the doctors

there are some lumps which a benign (nothing more than fatty tissue and is just annoying, nothing serious) which is something that is more common than breast cancer

but all and all get it checked cause the sooner it is checked the sooner you will have your answer and can deal with it

Good luck
