Of course not... I continuously search for truth but sometimes the answers are difficult to find. Should I just write it off as false? No.. that ends the search for truth.. should I dwell on it and have my time and energy consumed by it? No... then I am likely to accept the wrong answer just to HAVE an answer. To fall back on faith is knowing there IS an answer even if you have not found it yet.

Absolutely not, I always knew there had to be something greater going on than what we were seeing on the surface, but what I did not know. I began searching for the truth of all things scientific, historic, and whatever else. I believe I found a large part of it, but now I'm just kind of depressed about who I am as a person. Still, I found the truth and I would not want to give it up for anything in the world.

Faith is not truth...but its a confidence....Truth is not faith..truth is truth and it remains truth whether you have faith in it or not...So falling back on faith does not mean that your search for truth is over...but it will give you confidence that you are directing towards the path of truth and ultimately you will find truth...

Faith is an overwhelming conviction that a specific thing is true. If you have faith, then it means that you believe you have found truth. So in both a non sarcastic and sarcastic way your search for truth is over. Why would you search for something you believe you've already found?

Then again maybe it means their search for truth is just beginning. Finding the truth does require an open mind to all possibilities.

No, a person can still have faith in God and keep an open mind. Anything in this world is possible, there's more to this life then what was written in some religious books.

"For if we sin wilfully after we have reveived the knowledge of truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful espectation of judgement, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the witness of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, 'Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.' And again,'The Lord will judge His people'. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God" -Hebrews 10:26-31
"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have been partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good Word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame" -Hebrews 6:4-6

Definitely not. It simply means that for some reason or other, we for a period began to doubt and examine what we had learned so far. God knows exactly where you are and why. Your search for truth has been begun.
