Honey I don't know who these airheads are that are giving you bad info, but Baltiboy has it right. There are 3 teaspoons in 1 tablespoon. This is the standard measure for cooking. The silverware in your drawer may not turn out that way, though. Those are just names in the cutlery world, not measurements. If you want an accurate measure, get yourself some measuring spoons. You'll be spot on every time!
