Here is my understanding, after much thought and discussion:

God is the energy that powers this existence. If God is an ocean then we are all individual glasses of God - that's where the child image comes in. We, as creatures of Spirit, all choose to come here (to the physical plane) with others that we know to learn something specific (incidentally, that sounds like the father son and holy spirit to me - spirit, earth, god's energy to power the whole thing). We choose our roles, the point in history, our circumstances - everything in order to learn specific stuff of our own choosing.

Now when we came here, the idea was that the only way to communicate home was through our thoughts (prayer, right?) only something got lost in the translation. God is tuned in at all times and whatever we think, home sends. That is to say, thoughts become things - and we have never really been told that before.

If we are thinking positively and focus on what we want, we are happy. If we are thinking negative things or are focused on our problems, we are not happy - because home hears us thinking about lack, for example, and assumes the course it too easy for us and sends more. We so often get what we expect, don't we? Expect good things, see in your mind good things happening to you, use positive words, and try to imagine how you will feel when you are happy and successful.

Please, do yourself a favor and try to visualize and intention. Sit or lay quietly for just 3-5 minutes and get the picture in your mind of what you want. See yourself happy and peaceful and loved. Feel how it must feel to feel that way. Make a conscious effort to tell the universe what you want. If you have a problem with someone in particular, visualize them happy and at peace - this will help you release any anger you have for them or it can help to heal a loved one or protect one if need be. Do this twice a day and I think you will see results quickly.

You might also want to monitor your thoughts and replace the negative ones with positive ones. Decide that from this day forward that past is gone and today you are safe, strong, happy and loved. If you hear yourself saying "I am so depressed" stop your self and say "No, that is the past. I am feeling better everyday." All you are doing is taking control of your life. Thoughts become things - choose the good ones, please!

Peace!

Hi Liv

I was trained to see the world that way too.

It never occurred to me that this was only an interpretation of my perceptions of the world. It all seemed so real to me.

This works the way it does because God gives us what ever we want.

If we want something different we need to change our mind about the world we see around us.

When we do God gives us that new world instead.

Each of us gives the world all the meaning that it has for us.

I don't see the world as mean and cold. I see a peaceful and loving world.

I realize that this may make me appear delusional, but i assure you it is simply the product of how we view the world around us.

The good news is its a lot easier to change than it is to stay the same. There is even a handbook to explain how to make these changes. It is called the course in miracles, and it works.

It has helped thousands of people to get rid of debilitating world views that made their lives a living hell.

Feel free to email if you need more info.

Love and blessings

Life is suffering. Walk it off. And before you do check out, go do your chores (yes, it matters). Then wrap up all those projects at work - and don't do them in that lazy way short timers are prone to do. Do them in a way that people will miss you when you're gone. Then when people stop trying to put more work on your plate you can go with a clear conscience (don't worry, it's not really a sin, just extremely shortsighted, invariably it's the wrong choice).

I am glad you believe in God, but oh my you sound very down. Yes, life is tough, God never promised us an easy ride. Usually things that cause us pain are also the same things that develop our character and teach us compassion for others. Please read from Philippians 4:4-8 from a bible. It speaks of something that may help you. Enjoy your life and trust Jesus to walk with you daily and when you die you go to Heaven. Sounds not so bad.

Wow! It seems that religious empires have really confused you to the point of "suicide".

Try this for a week:

God's message is: (As illustrated in the original Bible texts)

Harmony is harmony.

Disharmony is the only sin against God.

Once you get it clear in your mind and heart that God's message is simple and loving, then e-mail me for physical and mental proof that "after your stay here on Earth, you will be reconstructed and go to Heaven, if you have chosen "harmony" as a way of life.

But, for those who have chosen disharmony, they will go to Planet HD, not as a punishment, but for purposes of quarantine away from the harmony-loving people of Heaven.

It is all based on God being a good parent. (Religious empires will never tell you this, because they want to scare you so that you will be afraid not to support their particular empire).

A good parent does not destroy a disharmonious child, he simply quarntines him away from the other children.

you know the drill, "Go to your room until you can play nice with the other children" ..... it really really works.

I believe the orthodox reply would be that "it is Gods plan" or "it is not for
you to know, just believe, or "God works in strange & mysterious ways
his wonders to achieve", or how about a simple, "it is not your place to
question"

Just don't expect a reasonable answer from the common run of believers.

My response, seek secular help in accord with the needs.of your particular suffering. You may be able to achieve some relief from your
fellow man but there simply is no evidence of any God to help you.

We are born into this mean cold world, to learn how to be Kind and Warm. How else would we learn what Kindness is if notone is there to show what being mean is?

And when we ourselves have been on the receiving end of Meaness and Coldness, we will know how it hurts us, therefore helps us NOT to be cruel to others.

Humans suffer because they want what they have not got. Suicide is only a "sin" to christians and other controlling "religions".

We do all grow old and die, yet that is not how we were created, but rather the effects of sin.

Romans 5:12: "That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned"

Romans 3:23 & 24: " For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and it is as a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by the ransom [paid] by Christ Jesus."

But even though people die, they will still have a chance at everlasting life on earth...

John 5: 28 & 29: " Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."

Acts 24:15: " and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous"

There is a time coming in which this earth will be considered a new earth because only righteousness will dwell here. There will be no more suffering, mourning, dearth, sickness crime....

2 Peter 3: 8-13: " However, let this one fact not be escaping YOUR notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. 9 Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. 10 Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered.

11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought YOU to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion, 12 awaiting and keeping close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which [the] heavens being on fire will be dissolved and [the] elements being intensely hot will melt! 13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.

Psalms 37:9-11,29, 37-40: "For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.
10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it.
37 Watch the blameless one and keep the upright one in sight,
For the future of [that] man will be peaceful.
38 But the transgressors themselves will certainly be annihilated together;
The future of wicked people will indeed be cut off.
39 And the salvation of the righteous ones is from Jehovah;
He is their fortress in the time of distress.
40 And Jehovah will help them and provide them with escape.
He will provide them with escape from wicked people and save them,
Because they have taken refuge in him.

Matthew 5:5: "“Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

John 17:3: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

Here are some wonder Scripture to give you hope of the awesome future Jehovah has in store for those who love him and his Son, Jesus Christ:.....

Isaiah 25: 8: "He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it]."

Isaiah 35: 5 & 6: " At that time the eyes of the blind ones will be opened, and the very ears of the deaf ones will be unstopped. 6 At that time the lame one will climb up just as a stag does, and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness. For in the wilderness waters will have burst out, and torrents in the desert plain.'

Isaiah 11: 6-9: "And the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them. 7 And the cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. 8 And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra; and upon the light aperture of a poisonous snake will a weaned child actually put his own hand. 9 They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea."

Isaiah 65: 21-25: " And they will certainly build houses and have occupancy; and they will certainly plant vineyards and eat [their] fruitage. 22 They will not build and someone else have occupancy; they will not plant and someone else do the eating. For like the days of a tree will the days of my people be; and the work of their own hands my chosen ones will use to the full. 23 They will not toil for nothing, nor will they bring to birth for disturbance; because they are the offspring made up of the blessed ones of Jehovah, and their descendants with them. 24 And it will actually occur that before they call out I myself shall answer; while they are yet speaking, I myself shall hear.

25 “The wolf and the lamb themselves will feed as one, and the lion will eat straw just like the bull; and as for the serpent, his food will be dust. They will do no harm nor cause any ruin in all my holy mountain,” Jehovah has said.

Revelation 21:3 & 4: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away"
