It depends on the people themselves. I tend to be honest about things and myself here and tell it like it is. Some people like to hear/see it like it is; others don't. I find that those most likely to become my enemies are those who are closed-minded and/or just want to be told what they want to hear or see. Those who become my friends are typically looking for good, honest, straight-up answers. My advice- answer only intelligent questions, ask only intelligent questions, and give only intelligent answers. This will keep the enemies to a minimum.

I've never been concerned one way or the other. I don't make friends here because I just do questons and answers. I don't personally correspond with anyone on here. Today we trimmed the tree at our house and now I'm tired and relaxing here. It's just a form of entertainment for me. Some good advice usually on some topics though. But, the people are not real to me. I have real friends I can touch in my 'real' life. This in no way is a put down to anybody on this site. It's just that they are not real to me.

I've definately made more friends, but most of those people are fairly healthy and they treat their communications on the net much the way they would in real life. They act out of their own self-respect.
There's a lot of people out there who would never conduct themselves, in real life, the way they do on the internet. They hide on the net, they like the anonymity it affords, and they use that as they go from site to site venting their anger, frustration, etc.
For some people the net is an opportunity for growth. For others it's an opportunity to avoid growth.

I'm compelled to frequent the US Cultures and Groups forums, therefore I inevitably make more enemies. I should stick to Beauty and Style but something keeps drawing me back.

Definitely more friends. As you start talking to people you find so many similarities. I tend to treat people the same way I would off the puter'. Of course you're gonna' meet assholes on here. Ignoring them works well.
