The two have absolutely nothing to do with each other. This makes as much sense as saying that if we discover a new species of warbler in the Brazilian rain forest, that means we have to rewrite Shakespeare's "Hamlet". The Bible is a compendium of old Israelite records and literature, as well as stories and commentary on the life of Jesus of Nazareth, and was written at a time when there was no concept of "intelligent life" or of "planet". If intelligent life is found on another planet, the Bible remains as it is - a set of records and a work of literature. We would not want to revise the Bible anyway, because that would be like "1984" by George Orwell, where history was continually being revised. We may learn from the other intelligent civilization, but the Bible will remain as it is, and there is near zero chance that the other civilization will have a concept of the Bible.
By the way, the Bible was written by humans, not by some god or supernatural entity out there somewhere.

It always amazes me when people always say (IF) First God is the Cretor of all life, & God choose this planet for life to be on. And also God's word has never need to be rewritten, True it has, But that is man's doing & it don't Change God's word one bit, Friend there is no life on another planet. Except God, & God is everywhere, while he is on this earth he is also on Pluto, because God is the Creator of it all.

No need, is there? Besides wouldn't there be OTHER books that will be written because of such a human experience?
After all, the Bible is really an ANTHOLOGY of certain peoples --the Israelites and the Ishmaelites-- and their relationship with God... It is neither a History, nor a Science book to begin with.
Peace be with you.

There are intelligent beings in the other planets, not necessarily in our solar system or perhaps not even in our galaxy.
If this world is the only planet in the whole universe with inhabitants God is just as foolish as a developer who built millions of houses and put occupants in one of those houses and let the other empty.
According to the astronomers, there are at least 100.000.000.000 solar systems in our galaxy alone, meaning
one hundred billion clusters of planets orbiting around their own suns or stars. And according their estimate there are about 1 billion galaxies in the whole universe. So if there is one habitable planet in each galaxy, just count how many worlds are there with inhabitants. Our world was created the last. The Bible mentioned about "worlds without number" created by HIm, and that we are witnessed by spectators on this drama the ages like actors on a global stage. But just like the parable of the Good Shepherd by Jesus, only one of the sheep, the naughty one went astray. Yet He loved the rebellious and naughty sheep so much, that He left the safe ninety nine and went out to search for the lost one.
He suffered and died for that lost world and its inhabitants, and carried it back to the fold. Not only that, He finally made His dwellings among this lost but rescued planet and made it the capital of His whole Kingdom.
But to your question does the Bible need to be rewritten. My answer is : No. The Bible is written specifically for the people of this rebellious planet only. And even that is limited to only those who will constitute His chosen people, or His remnants if you please. The Bible does mention, or very little if it does about other nations in the past who rejected His Plan of Salvation.
The Bible is alread complete as a book worthy to be called the Word of God. In the first three chapters of the book of Genesis, God gave men 7 things, which they lost through disobedience to His commandment. In the last three chapters of Revelation, all that we lost in the beginning will be restored completely.
In the first three chapters of Genesis the earth was created and after that sin entered and marred His plan, but God in his mercy and wisdom, continue with Plan B, rescue the passengers of this Cellestial Space Craft whose inhbitants were hijacked or taken hostage by Dark Father of Lies and Murderers, called Lucifer in the beginning. He sacrificed Himself to pay the ransom, and finally destroy the villains, and restored this earth to its original condition in Eden, in fact more glorious with the saved descendants of Adam and Eve.
That narration of history and future plan for this planet is completely written in the 66 books of the Bible. That's the reason why the Author of the Bible, who is none other than God The Holy Spirit gave this warning at the last chapter of the Bible, Revelation 22:18, 19:
A Warning
18 For[i] I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add[j] to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away[k] his part from the Book[l] of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
