My daughter recently turned two in Oct. we got her the my first leap pad, but she doesn't quite understand how to use it yet, something more appropriate for a two year old is the Learn Through Music Plus. It's similar in size to the my first leap pad but more like a sing along, It has a microphone where the child can record his/herself sing with the different songs when touching the pictures they do different things, like count or name colors, etc. It lights up too! My daughter loves it,

We also got her Teddy Tales and she pays no mind to it.

Hope some of these gave you ideas. I hate getting things that she ends up tossing to the side, but from a mother who has a two year old; your son should enjoy these! Good Luck!

The leapfrog learning tables are great. we have those so I am getting my two year old a play place from wal-mart with like the tunnels and stuff it's a maze so it helps with problem solving and co-ordination. The balls withe different shapes holes and colors are good too so he can learn what shapes and colors are.

I got my girls a lot of pretend toys. My girls are 1 1/2 and 2 1/2. I got them the Dora dollhouse, the Dora kitchen, and the Dora cash register just to name a few. My girls are into any kind of toy that mimics what I do. Toy brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.
