I do realize there are many religious spiritual men, and many women without religion (I’ve met a few).
Is my perception correct and if so why?
Thanks

@Kent: I think that might be a start of a workable hypothesis.

I typically avoid making generalizations, and other responders have already presented the notion, but to expound...
Men are (typically) wired for more motor-skill/tool based practical/material/logical perception of their surroundings, while women are(typically) more prone to accept things that are emotion/intuition based without the necessity of specific reason. This causes (more) women to be more likely to be driven by gut feelings than by understanding "why". (which also, by standard, makes them much better mothers)((besides the fact that men lack a uterus and birthing canal))
Obviously, there are a multitude of varying combinations of both in every instance of every person, but the development of the "wiring" of the brain in this fashion is, in part, due to an individuals own bodily distribution of estrogen and testosterone.
To add to this- learned behavior and trained emotional response play a large role in defining these individual characteristics of the person, which in turn effects the distribution of these same hormones during development.

I think men due to their biological makeup lean more towards their own logic, and believing in what they can hear, see or touch. Spirituality really doesn't go along the lines of the natural mind's logic. I don't think men give into their lust anymore than women. It just depends on what the lust wants.

Women can be more submissive than men and can be readily accepting of directions from a higher power, whereas men tend to try and control their own lives and besides most men have never seen or known of a man that could be an example for him.

It may be.
I hesitate to make any gender-related generalizations, but perhaps men, as tool-using, visual beings, prefer a straight-forward, probelm-solving or "seeing is believing" approach while women, sterotypically the more intuitive and perhaps emotional, look for deeper meanings?
As I type that out, it seems overly simplistic, but that's the off-the-top-of-my-head theory.

probably correct,
men tend to give into their lusts much faster than woman.
from a scientific viewpoint it probably has to do with the frontal lobe, which deals with restraint, men lack the ability to restrain as well as women do. Regardless, because men give into lusts, they tend to make excuses for there actions ad it all starts falling down like dominoes at that point

The basis of religion is to inspire good morals and compatible living in a society. Women are more prone to gravitate towards something like that.

I think woman just naturally look to a man for answers, especially in religious matters. We are trained not to think for ourselves.
