like ive heared that having music on can help you but then others say that it distracts u, and whats the best advice to stop getting distracted. any adice would be much apreciated. tnx

It depends on the person, but I think background music helps. Just as long as it's not too intrusive or if you like it too much. But the best thing is to work at it. The more practice you get focusing on your task the easier it will be in the future. You just need to work-out that part of your brain. But that's the way it is with everything, the more you practice, the better you'll be.

Cut out any noise. Get all of the relative material that you will need for the study together so you don't have to interrupt the study time. No phone. Concentrate on the specific course work exclusively, no food or drink, only study. You will learn more in a shorter period of time and therefor will have more spare time later.

DO NOT HAVE THE COMPUTER ON OR HAVE THE TV ON ., GO IN A SILENT ROOM . JUST YOURSELF .
