By tradition men initiate the whole courtship ritual. I wouldn't say girls hate on poor fellows for not talking, they might just think he's boring. Imagine being asked out and getting all excited only to discover your date is as boring as bread.

I think that's a bit extreme...I know plenty of women that are chatterboxes...and there's no reason to hate someone because they are quiet...
Perhaps it's just the girls you are seeing and when you start dating women you'll find the reactions are a bit different...
