My cat seems to be real hyper. She growls and spits when she doesn't get her way. She is about one yr old.

Try, "Why Cats Do That, A Collection of Curious Kitty Quirks" By Karen Anderson. I have it, and it's a great book.

Anything by Roger Tabor is generally quite good.
