First of all its not Muslim. It's Islam. Second you should learn more about the religion before you judge her. It's true that Islam is in its nature an oppressive religion but today its mostly muslim extremists who teach that. Most Muslims in America are wonderful peaceful people. She needs to look into it more though because they do have a lot of contradictions and problems that even most American Muslims don't know about. I'm not supporting Islam at all because I'm actually a Christian. However, she's just searching for answers so don't be judgemental be loving and understanding. And please don't judge Muslims. So many people have been treated horribly just because they are Muslims even if they didn't do anything to harm anyone. It's disgusting and it's wrong to treat anyone that way. I'm especially ashamed of so-called "Christians" who treat them that way. Christ would never have done that. He would have loved them and protected them. So anyway just listen to her and tell her how you feel but not in a way that would put her on the defensive just talk as friends and ask her a lot of questions so you can understand.

I think for the most part that American girls learn to like a man, not a religion. And since they don't have strong religious values nowadays, it is not important to them. The man, however, always insists that they convert and since they are ignorant of the religion, they do it to keep their man. Later, they will realize their mistake but will be powerless to reject the relationship. Then more muslim babies will be born and they will add to their power base of control by sheer numbers.

If she lives in America, it probably is not so repressive. Now, if she lived in the Middle East, it would be more the repressive and deadly.

alot of women become muslim and accept islam as their religion because islam gives them lots of respect and freedom. nudity is not freedom, hijab is. they have the same rights as men and are respected. they are kept like jewels, so precious. they are the queens of their household. they take care of their kids instead of working out with other men. etc..... islam keeps a women the way she should be kept.....thats why they choose islam. the ones that dont, they dont know what islam offers them. once they realize they will too join islam......religion of peace and love and most of all the way of life. take care. may allah guide us allah to right path. :)

It is called freedom of religion. Everyone has a right to their decision to choose, whether we individually choose it or not. You may disagree or agree. Many may agree with her, many may disagree, it is her right. This is America. I don't want people to judge me for my decision to choose my Christian faith, and I will not judge others for their decision for their religion or non religious beliefs. You just have to live your beliefs out. Nothing you can do.
