Yes, I have a wonderful recipe!!!

Robley's Karmel Korn

* 2 quarts popped popcorn
* 1 1/3 c. coarsely chopped pecans
* 2/3 c. almonds
* 1 1/3 c. sugar
* 1 c. butter
* 1 t. vanilla
* 2/3 c. clear Karo corn syrup

Mix the popcorn and the nuts together and spread out on a cookie sheet. Combine sugar, butter, and Karo syrup in a heavy 1 1/2 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue boiling, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes or until the mixture turns a light caramel color. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour over popcorn and nuts; mix to coat well. Spread out to dry. Break apart and store in a tightly covered container.

This makes a great gift--and giving it away helps prevent everyone in the household from snarfing it down uncontrollably.

There is one caution I must make about this caramel corn; it is very, very important to remove all the unpopped "old maid" kernals from the popcorn. If you hit one of these unpopped duds when you're eating the caramel corn, you can break a tooth!

I have written this up on my cooking blog, but it won't publish for a couple more days. You get the sneak preview!

Of course it can be made with white sugar... caramelised sugar is made with white sugar, which is the basis for the caramel coating on the corn.

you can make really good caramel corn by using regular sugar, in fact that's what I use, as brown sugar has added molasses in it.
