since you have converted to your new religion, have you changed who you are inside, or just your spiritual beliefs? are you still the same funny and caring person you were before, or the hateful jerk you were before, or has yuor religion changed who you were inside?

have your political beliefs changed?

have you changed your opinions on your former religion or anything?

i am a christian who might possibly convert to judaism. however, i feel that christianity is a great religion.. if i was a jew, i would still love jesus because of what he did for people, and i would still celebrate christmas. and the story of jesus' birth and the virgin of mary.. that story will always be great in my opinion. although i might change spiritually, i would still be the same person i was before.

whoa whoa whoa.. that doesn't mean i believe in jesus. it simply means that i have respect for the man. lots of christians and jews have respect for mohammad, or the buddha, or krishna.

and i would celebrate december 25th as just a fun holiday!

If you convert to Judaism, you have no business loving Jesus and celebrating Christmas. That is completely against the beliefs of Judaism. Christianity centers completely on Jesus, which Jews do not accept.

I converted to Judaism 35 years ago-and I have changed. As a Christian, I was me-for me-etc.,. Now, who I am, who my people are, what our history and dreams are----------it is all a part of what I am. I love the feeling of being a part of a history of my people
and G-d. It gives a great feeling of belonging, as I never had before.

Being a Wiccan changed me alot. I used to be an Atheist. I thought since there was no punishment I could do what I wanted. I was a jerk with a VERY short temper! I was known to whip books at people who made me mad! Anyway, I was thinking about quantum physics and I wanted to find out about this magnetic field or aura it talked about. My grandma helped me with this (I later found out that she was a strong psychic). Upon reading the book I saw the word magick several times in one of the chapters. I thought, "What is he talking about?". I searched "magick" on the web and found out about Wicca. I didn't think much of it at first. But I soon became very drawn to the subject. I bought books and read articles and finally decided to practice a Pagan religion. But first I had to research to make sure this was the one for me. It was. I am now a die hard Wiccan and I have changed into a loving, caring person who believes anything is possible and would never hurt a fly. I still believe in science and I think that magick works perfectly in science if it would get some respect.

Thanks for asking!

Wow, lots of questions. I'll do my best:
I don't think I've changed on the inside, but I do believe that I'm a happier, more content, and more caring person.
Most of my friends don't think I've changed much, although I am VERY passionate about my beliefs. They say I'm still a kind, funny person with a sarcastic sense of humor.
My political beliefs haven't changed at all. I'm still a moderate conservative with no affiliation with Republicans or Democrats.
As for my former religion, I was agnostic (of sorts) for six years. For roughly six years before that, I was Wiccan (of sorts, I didn't practice Wicca strictly. It was more of just white witchcraft, hard to label.). I don't look down on either. One of my best friends is Wiccan, and my husband is agnostic.

I think as long as you believe Christ is your Savior, you are on the right path. But the Bible says several times to not cohert with evil doers, worshippers of false idols, etc....you know what it says. Perhaps you may be able to change others minds. I did not really change religions, just Faith. I accepted Christ as my Savior. The Holy Spirit guides me in all I do. Yes, it has made me spiritually new. Yes, I still laugh and joke. I still am many ways the same many ways different. You give birth to a new you, when you are born again in Christ. Just make sure you are listening to the Spirit of truth when you make your decisions.

No disrespect shown but You can not be Jewish I agree that Jesus was a great teacher who may have been the most influential person who ever lived. You accept Jesus you then must accept the Trinity which you know is father, son and holy ghost which is three, Our main prayer says in English Hear O Israel the Lord our God the Lord is one Three minus one is two which are two too many. Merry Xmas to you

I have been changed, more accepting, less critical, hopefully more caring and helpful since I started seriously considering my religious philosophies.

I think I understand the reason you are considering your conversion. I agree with your thoughts.

It has been quite a puzzlement for me too, but I think in all I am growing as a "better person".

I didn't change, I realized my newer belief fit me, I never fit it.

I am still friendly to my old belief.
