How do I locate an insurance policy for which I'm the beneficiary.?

A loved one passed away recently, several years before that he told me that he had a life insurance policy which I was the beneficiary. How can I find it no one will tell me anything this was my brother that I lost so I know what I'm saying is true who can I talk to about getting help and finding the policy by the way I had to find out about his death on the internet and that was just by accident he had been dead for five months, any help would be apprecated.

If you have enough money you should see a solicitor. If not try and go to Citizens Advice Bureau (you should phone and make an appointment first).

i would think that you should talk to a solicitor in the first instance. Get some advice and then take it from there. There are special investigators who do this sort of thing for a living...;
