It just means that they aren't going to have you think one way when they actually mean something totally different.

Example: I want you and I tell you but then I change my mind because of some bogus reason or I like you as a friend but not a girlfriend after you have already been made feel as though that person wanted you for something else.

That's a mind game and guys play them alot when they feel like they have you waiting on them...

He said this because more than likely you are playing head games!

I think you know what head games are, but if your really that dumb, here it is:
Head games are saying one thing but really meaning another.
Here's a good for instance:

online, long distance so called bf, keeps telling online, long distance so called gf, that he loves her, she's the only one. YET once he get's off the phone with her, he in either on the phone with a nother gf and telling her the same thing. HEAD GAMES

Go to Tango Magazines website and read the editorial on online dating recommendations for stating the fact of not playing "games" It's fantastic and true honey, life IS a game... IF/When he makes the statement again...Smile and simply say "Me neither"!!!! Good Luck-Read the Article, it's Great!

Your friend is trying to say they're honest with you and aren't trying to break your heard. By playing mind games the person pretends they like you or mess with your head.. You think they like you or something but they don't feel that way.

they mean...don't keep them guessing, be straight, say what you mean, don't speak in riddles.
some women love to play mind games...but then again so do some men..this is not a gender issue.
will she call, won't she call???? i gave her my number and she is not calling?
Its the not knowing what the other is thinking and second guessing. Communicate and there will be no mind games

Maybe he thinks you're trying to manipulate him instead of just saying what you mean. When I say that to someone, I'm letting them know I'm growing tired of how hard it is to communicate with them and telling them to cut the crap.

mind games mean playing psychological war-fare. it happens in politics, sports, love and almost everything. you try to influence the other party's actions by influencing their minds. its a very complex thing, but works almost always
