yes, I can't use mine because I have 3 cats. No matter how many I buy, the cats get them and I have to keep one hid in a drawer and make sure they don't see me have. If they see it, they give me the "please let me have that one because the 5000 I already isn't that one"

Cats are individuals with their own personality and likes/dislikes, so it would be impossible to put them all into one category. However, from my own experience, hair bands and scrunchies do seem to be enjoyed by many cats and kittens. As far as your cat being a retriever, I believe that is only a breed of dogs. But it is not uncommon for a cat to "play fetch." My own cat played fetch for several years and we loved it, but he has grown out of it as he has gotten older. So, enjoy the playfulness now and keep playing with your kitty!

If you want to give them something even more fun, try the ring that is under the cap on a milk carton. My cats have gotten to the point that I can't get the milk out without a 5-cat audience. They flip and bounce more than a scrunchy since they are hard plastic, and the cats love to carry them around with them. Plus, where can you find anything cheaper to entertain them?!

My boy cat does the same thing! Our girl cat likes to play with them but not as obsessively as our boy cat. I honestly don't have any clean elastics or scrunchies anymore. When I need one I have to look around and find one on the floor. I think they like my scent. When I brought my boy kitty to my parents house, he ended up in my old bedroom and found an old scrunchie of mine - that I hadn't worn in over 5 years!

Really my cat does too. I think it's because you have a kitten and kittens get amused easy not because he's part retireivier. My cat still acts like a kitten even though she is 14 months old now. Your kitten is just trying to have fun that's all.

Yes kitties do like the pony tail holders alot! My youngest cat loves those little foil balls alot also and then there are those stick things with the feathers at the end that drives her nuts. Cats are crazy but wonderful pets.

Yep, and for the retriever, nope. He's just like all the cats I had. My kitten plays with anything that moves or can be moved. :)

I think all cats do that because all of my cats that I have owned like playing with things like that. I think the cat is practicing pretador versus prey. I like it when my cat plays with me like a dog would. Cats get bored too sometimes and even older cats can be caught playing like they were when they were little baby kittens. It is good for you and your cat to interact like that.

No....my cat is a 21 y.o. American Shorthair/Siamese. She could care less about scrunchies although she did like them when she was little. She has a pot of cat nip that we eagerly bought her...again she could care less and now the grass is dead.
