With the proper license (Class III) a felony free, non disturbed American can own machine guns, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers, pretty much anything that launches a projectile. Sniper rifles can be bought if a person is 18 or over and has no record of mental illness or a felony. Sniper rifles can be anywhere from $400.00 to several thousand dollars, depending on what kind of quality you can afford. You must be 21 to own a handgun, and again no history of mental illness or felony. An instant background check is done each time you purchase a firearm to determine your eligibility.

Americans have a Constitutional right to bear arms, and as such, gun ownership is relatively unrestricted, though automatic weapons and concealed weapons face many restrictions. Gun purchases also involve background checks, and when you try to buy a gun your question posted here will probably show up in any profile your background check establishes. What possible legitimate reason could you have for wanting a "sniper rifle" (whatever you mean by that!), especially when your grammar is so poor?

Gun control only works on law abiding citizens. The persons gun control is aimed at keeping unarmed are the ones who are more likely to have weapons. They just don't bother with weapon-type restrictions, permits, and other tedious things like that.

The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States prohibits the government from denying citizens the right to arms, but there are hundreds of federal, state and local regulations. The applicable laws differ from one jurisdiction to another. Contact your local law enforcement agency for specific information for your area.
